Alex Whitman is an Interior Designer with decades of experience learning how people live. She reads a room through light, proportion, and movement, understanding that the colour a client loves on a sample card lives differently across four walls, through morning and into evening. That understanding is exact, not intuitive, grounded in the training and examined knowledge the NCIDQ designation requires.
She pairs that expertise with precise project management, driving each project from initial concept to immaculate completion. Her process begins by uncovering each homeowner’s personal style: how their days move through the space, what they choose to keep and where they place it, what draws their eye. Every decision from space planning to final finish moves toward a destination the client appreciates the moment they arrive.
Beyond the studio, Alex keeps close to her husband, her two teenage children, and a household that includes two cats and a Great Pyrenees with a well-established preference for the outdoors. She cooks, gardens, and walks the island’s beaches when the week allows.
