Sue Pipes has been an Interior Designer with Design One Stevens for more than twenty years. During this time she has honed her skills and developed a distinct, luxurious style. Sue prides herself on her attention to detail, obsession with quality, and creating beautiful designs under a variety of styles, timeframes, and requirements.
Originally from South Africa, Sue has studied art in multiple forms, including graphic design, photography, textile design, and fine art. She has an aptitude for quickly grasping new media and applying her experience and perspective to new enterprises.
Sue produces beautiful scaled drawings and renderings to give clients a better understanding of the design process and help them visualize the brilliant solutions she instinctively finds. Whether she is guiding clients through a full renovation or a décor update Sue is known for creating spaces that are functional, refined, and beautiful. Her expertise with soft furnishings is attributable to her earlier education in Textile Design and deep understanding of fibre properties. When designing a project, Sue seeks to elicit an emotional response from her clients that makes them want to stay there forever.
Sue has worked with clients worldwide, designing both primary residences and vacation homes in prestigious areas of Greater Victoria, the Saanich Peninsula, and Gulf Islands. Her work has been featured in newspapers and magazines, as well as in person as part of home tours.
